Courses List
English Courses
The popular General English Courses are ideal if you want to improve your everyday communication skills and you prefer to study in a class with other students. Small classes and well-trained teachers guarantee fast progress. The course content includes grammar, lexis and all four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
You can combine private English lessons in the afternoon with a group course in the morning. Combining group lessons with private lessons gives you the best of both worlds. You can make swift progress and interact with other students in the group lessons and focus on your specific weak points during the private lessons. It is ideal if you want to progress faster or have specific learning needs.
The Study Year concept has been designed to cater for the specific needs of long-term students.
It is ideal if you want to become proficient in English and/or want to study or live in an English-speaking country.
The programme is tailor-made for those students who need extra support, both in and beyond the classroom, in reaching their English language goals.
Volunteer Programmes
The school offers a wide range of volunteer projects in Cape Town. You can choose to work with children or with elderly people. You can choose to entertain kids in a hospital where they need it the most or you can assist them doing their homework. Or you can choose to work in a special needs care centre.
Hout Bay is a lovely little town on the Cape Peninsula, set between the breath-taking Tafelberg mountains and a quiet and clear Atlantic bay. There are only 3 roads for access so Hout Bay is a community of its own, while still easy to reach Cape Town. Here, the problems are smaller than in a large city and it’s easier to see the difference you make.
Accommodation
Being the most affordable form of accommodation, it is usually the choice of the younger, long-term students. In addition there are also volunteers staying there.
In comparison with a host family, the Student House offers more personal freedom and you can easily socialise with your fellow students.
The Student House is ideal for 18 to 25 year olds.
