BELS Malta

General English courses aim to provide the student with balanced practice in various areas (grammar, vocabulary, phonology and speech) and skills using general topics and appropriate materials. The course focuses on these four skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing with an emphasis on fluency. The goal is to improve students’ skills in all areas of the language.

The Intensive General English program includes one standard English course and 10 additional lessons per week. The additional 10 lessons in the Intensive English program are held in the afternoon. Classes focus on fluency, devoting much time to confidence building, conversation practice, correction and feedback.

The Business English courses in Malta and Gozo offered by BELS will help you improve your English language skills, while targeting certain areas that will help you achieve your professional goals. The courses are designed to develop the skills necessary to communicate in an international environment, and improve business English terminology and grammar throughout the program. Whether you are starting your professional career, looking to improve your skills, or seeking a promotion, the courses can contribute to your professional progress.

Mini-group courses are ideal for students who prefer to learn in a small class environment. Mini-group courses have a maximum of 6 students per class, ensuring more individual attention from the teacher and the opportunity to learn in a relaxed atmosphere. Each English course can be taken in a mini-group. The General English Standard and Intensive courses each have a mini-group option for all levels of English.

Many students choose to take the IELTS certification in order to gain admission to universities, obtain a work visa, immigrate to a foreign country or to boost their career. There are two ways to obtain IELTS certification, the general exam and the academic test. Both exams assess students’ level of English and test their listening, reading, speaking and writing skills.

During individual English courses in Malta, students can choose from a variety of academic programs, including General English, Business English, exam preparation courses, and English for Specific Purposes.All individual courses involve a thorough needs analysis from day one, allowing for a unique and tailored program for each student.

The teen camps (Teen Summer Camps, Teen Fall Camps, Teen Easter Camps) are based in St. Paul’s Bay, a picturesque town located in the northeastern part of Malta, just a short walk from Bugibba. Bugibba is another popular seaside town with an attractive mix of historic buildings, quaint stores, fashionable boutiques, restaurants and cafes. It’s the perfect place to meet friends, enjoy an ice cream and of course, practice your English in a spontaneous way.

The BELS Young Adult Program is the perfect balance between junior and adult courses. It is designed for independent teens who want more flexibility in their language study. The program includes English classes, accommodation and a recreational program for 16 and 17 year old students. This is an excellent opportunity to learn English in Malta, while experiencing Malta’s vibrant history and exciting student atmosphere.

The most common family packages include English classes for the whole family, as well as accommodation, airport transfers and leisure activities. This program is offered at BELS Malta in St. Paul’s Bay – a popular family destination for locals and visitors alike.

Living with a host family offers students the opportunity to practice English outside the classroom in a safe, family environment. BELS host families have been carefully selected to ensure that they are open-minded, helpful and welcoming.

Comfort residences in BELS Malta are available in two different locations, both of which are managed by the school. The comfort residences include our North residences and Westend Residences. Both facilities are identical in terms of quality, facilities and rates.

BELS Malta Superior Residences are part of a modern and secure complex in Xemxija, a coastal area of the town of St. Paul’s Bay. From here, you can reach the school in a 20-minute walk through the town. It is also possible to reach the school by bus, with frequent bus lines running every 5 minutes. You can catch the bus from the stop right in front of the residence, which will take you directly to our school.
