German for adults aged 30 or older who want a mature learning environment. 30plus courses are available in summer only when the average age tends to be lower.

• Crash (Standard + 10 one to one)

You want to try and test your German in real life? Then book the combination of German course + internship in a Berlin company or institution! GLS has arranged internships in places like the German parliament, the Literaturfestival Berlin, with Berlin lawyers and architects. We arrange 80 – 100 internships every year.

About Studienkolleg

Students, who cannot apply directly to study at German Institutes of Higher Education because they don’t have an accepted school leaving certificate, have to take an exam (Feststellungsprüfung) before they study (equivalent to the German „ Abitur”).

In order to pass this entrance exam successfully, universities offer potential applicants 12-month preparation courses (Studienkollegs) . The course ends with the exam and the permission to study.

Entry to the  Studienkollegs is also restricted. As there are more applicants than free places, foreign applicants have to take an entrance exam for the Studienkolleg. You can take the entrance exam at various Studienkolleges ; individual Studienkollegs may have different entrance exams and demands.

The 4-week GLS Preparation course prepares you completely for the demands of this exam (whichever Studienkolleg you have applied for). It practises the areas focused on in the exam: German and mathematics.

Munich is a fantastic place to learn German. The Bavarian capital is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. The GLS summer camps for kids & teens have fantastic locations – one in a Munich castle, the others in the Alp mountains just south of Munich

Berlin is a great place to learn German! Very cosmopolitan, very relaxed and also very green, with lots of parks and lakes. Berlin has often been called Europe’s capital of cool, and if you join one of our German immersion summer camps in Berlin, you’ll see why. The camps combine German courses with lots of fun activities in Berlin.

Study abroad at a German high school! Every year more than 150 exchange students from all over the world attend a high school in Germany with GLS.

Ideal if you want to practice your German “at home”: You have a single room in a flat you share with Germans. Your hosts can be couples (married or not) as well as singles, with or without kids. They can be students, taxi drivers or professors, of all ages and social strata. All hosts have been inspected, and many have been hosting our students for several years.

The 50 studio-apartments are in 2 historic buildings next to the language school. All apartments used to be class rooms in a former school that was built in 1867.

The hotel is located in the most spectacular building on campus – a Berlin landmark under monument protection. The beautiful neorenaissance building was built in 1902, as a public bath house.

GLS operates several flats in Berlin, reserved exclusively for GLS students. All flats are fully equipped with kitchen, bath, TV, WiFi – some of them additionally include living room, phone, washing machine or dishwasher.

If you prefer to have your own apartment in Berlin, this is definitely the cheapest option: GLS operates 30 studio-apartments in a modern student residence, inhabitated mainly by students going to university in Berlin.
