Nelson English Centre is an English language school based in the South Island of New Zealand.

English Courses for Adults
Full time morning and afternoon classes (23 hours per week) and part time morning classes (15 hours per week) are available starting on ANY MONDAY of the year at any level.
Nelson English Centre provides specialised 12 week Cambridge examination preparation courses for both the FCE (First Certificate in English) and CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) exams.
We offer four week modules which cover the four skills areas; reading, writing, speaking and listening. Students learn all parts of the IELTS test and get chances to practice using different strategies to complete test questions and tasks successfully.
Accommodation
The homestays are comfortable, with enough space, and a desk to study at in your bedroom. Three meals are provided at weekends, and breakfast and dinner Monday to Friday.
Nelson English Center is on the main backpacker route through New Zealand so has an excellent range of charming backpackers.
Hampden House is owned by one of our homestay families and offers excellent accommodation 20-minutes walk from Nelson English Centre. This popular accommodation is fully-furnished.
There are many affordable flats within walking distance of the school in Nelson. Lower room costs and no need for buses.
